ADR and Structurizr - March 2025 Update

2025-03-15 by Adam Banaszkiewicz

It's time for the first big update in Pistacy.io since release day. Take a closer look at what we have prepared for you.

ADR Documents Updates

If you have ADRs stored in your project's repository, it is obvious that this repository is your source of truth for such documents. That's why we have created a way to transfer your documents from your repository to Pistacy.io using our API. You can use your pipeline to send every updated document to our platform.

Structurizr Integration Updates

A similar case applies to Structurizr diagrams. If you have them written in the Structurizr DSL format within your repository, you can use the API to upload diagrams to Pistacy.io.

Text Editor Updates

New blocks have been added to the text editor, allowing you to create more intuitive and self-sufficient documentation.

  • Structurizr block - lets you embed a specific view of your C4 model directly in the document.
  • Diagram block - allows you to insert diagrams directly into your document. Sometimes, an image is worth more than a thousand words.
  • CodeBlock block - enables a code editor directly within the text editor, allowing you to include code snippets or pseudocode for dozens of programming languages.

And one small but useful change - Pan & Zoom during diagram editing. If a diagram is large, you can zoom in and move the view to the desired position for a detailed look.

This Update in a Technical Nutshell

  • 53 commits
  • 276 files changed
  • 2 new API endpoints
